More Kudos for The City of Mobile

The City of Mobile, Alabama website, developed by Dogwood Productions and the City of Mobile, was recently presented as a case study in a conference on "Citizen-centric government websites," put together by Osney Media Limited of England. The conference was in London, England January 22-23, 2003, and featured United Kingdom government agencies and information technology companies.

The significance of Mobile's presence on the program is that representatives from the City of Mobile are presenting a perspective from the U.S. and our city as the only U.S. presence at the event. The program states, 'The City of Mobile's website is regarded as one of the top e-government sites in the U.S.' Mobile is the only city in the United States invited to make a presentation.

Dogwood Productions is proud of this accomplishment as it marks the 3rd time in the past few years Dogwood has been recognized for their work with the City of Mobile. Last year, the web site was a finalist in the Best of the Web Competition sponsored by the publication "Government Technology" and ranked 3rd in the nation in the "Digital Cities Survey" of cities with comparable size. This national recognition has helped to propel the City of Mobile web site as one of the most useful and innovative city websites on the Web.
